- For compatibility reasons send both ALPN ids http/1.0 and http/1.1 for HTTP/1.0 requests. Prior to this change for compatibility reasons curl would send ALPN http/1.1 for HTTP/1.0 requests, since some servers do not recognize ALPN http/1.0. However some servers may recognize only ALPN http/1.0 for HTTP/1.0 requests. Therefore curl now sends both.
